1987 Duck Scholars
scholars.jpg
Brad Albers and Kelly Sheehan

Whether it's the hot dog you eat or the T-shirt your wear, the $5.00 home run bonus coupon you use to win the game, or the face you have painted, all the profits from the two-day tournament are used for scholarships.

Since 1987, the Duck Soup Board of Directors have awarded scholarships to graduates from St. Louis Park High who demonstrate a love of baseball or softball and a sense of humor. That combination has provided thousands of dollars to support students' education over the past 21 years. Money is also donated to the St. Louis Park Recreation Department to support local youngsters participation in recreational sports. Prior to 1987, profits were awarded to other sports-related, charitable organizations. Over $60,000 dollars have been awarded in the past 21 years through the efforts of the Duck Soup Tournament volunteers and players.
